As outlined in my reset blog, during the first six months of being retired, I plan to ‘widen family and community connections, deepen my zen practice, address personal health issues and follow my spirit’.

I thought I could also produce new conscient: art & environment content during this period, but I can’t.

I realize now that the best way to reset is to make a complete and unequivocal break from habitual patterns, including from my habits in audio production and my use of technology, and this until my health goals are achieved…

I’m inspired by writer Shante’ Sojourn Zenith, in her essay Fruiting Bodies: Collapse as Medicine, Liminal Portals, Mycelial Entanglementswhich can be found in issue 11 of  Dark Matter.

Shante Sojourn Zenith writes:

For transformation to be possible there first has to be a stopping, a pausing, refusing to continue the dance of fear and survival. … What if the collapse is also a part of the medicine? There are openings and cracks in these times of breakdown, windows into other worlds.

Therefore, as of today, October 13, 2020, I am taking a pause in the production of conscient: art & environmentblogs and podcasts.

I apologize to anyone that I have approached about being a guest on this season of the show.

Hopefully we will connect again in season 2 and beyond.

Please note that the current set of content will remain accessible on https://www.conscient.ca/ and are tagged as ‘conscient blog Season 1’ or ‘conscient podcast Season 1’.

I apologize for the disruption and look forward to returning to production when the time is right.
